Bunnies of Jericho Beach

The other day, we went in search of Jericho Beach, having heard a lot about it, and seen little (none) of it.

We meandered along the pathways in the park, stopping (me) every five steps to take photos of the abundance of wildflowers; I so badly wanted to steal a bouquet to bring home, they were so beautiful and colourful.

Having filled our flower-photo quota (say that 5 times fast), we eventually made our way to the beach, where we skipped a few rocks, dipped our toes in the icy water, and tossed the frisbee back and forth all the while burning our feet on the sand.

Not a bad skyline, view from the beach
However, the real highlight of Jericho wasn't until we began to make our way back to the parking lot when we happened across the colony of wild rabbits, which Jericho is known for. I would hazard a guess that we spent at least an hour (at least!), sitting on the grass, gleefully taking photos (ahem, 200 photos later...) and videos, and revelling in this magical world we'd stumbled upon. It was some of the most fun we've had lately and I want to go back everyday.

A few photos of our bunny friends, if you'd like to see (excuse quality - phone photos):

A little video I took of these sweet rabbits

Came up to sniff J's finger

Nibbling our toes

Magic I tell you, pure magic
